Add items to Evernote with your voice
ReQall is a unique task manager, allowing you to add items by speaking into the app on your iPhone or Blackberry, by calling a special toll free number, or by entering information via the ReQall web site. ReQall recognizes certain keywords, such as "buy" or "remember," and will add items to either your to-do list, shopping list, or note list based upon what you say. For example, if I connect to ReQall and say "buy apples," then the item "buy apples" will show up in my shopping list after a brief period of transcription. If I say "clean the garage," then those words will show up in my to-do list as an item.
I use the native ReQall iPhone app to review my to do items, but also have started to hook ReQall into Evernote. ReQall allows you to enter an email address in your account settings, after which all newly added items will be emailed to that address. I'm now using my Evernote address in those settings, so now I can call ReQall from my car, or speak into the iPhone app, and a few minutes later those items show up in my Evernote account. The email messages do have some extraneous information, so I typically pull the needed information out of the new note, and copy it into my master notes (such as my master to do list). This is a great way, though, to get the information into Evernote while on the go. I'm find ReQall's voice recognition to be remarkable, with hardly any errors. ReQall isn't for anyone, but it is definitely worth a look.Go back to 40Tech.com
