New Windows Phones Coming October 6
40Tech gives plenty of coverage to the iPhone, but we also try to share the love with Windows Mobile. Now, there is news for Windows Mobile users to anticipate, as new Windows phones are coming on October 6. According to the Windows Blog, the new user interface will be more touch friendly, and there will be improved notifications and updates from e-mail, text, and calendar items. The phones also include the latest Internet Explorer Mobile browser, and add free services like My Phone to help protect data in the event of a lost phone. The blog also mentions "Windows Marketplace for Mobile for access to a wide variety of applications for direct download." I previously used an AT&T Tilt running Windows Mobile, and it was just too kludgy for my liking, but competition is good for consumers, so I hope the new Windows phones are a hit.
