Do you think that perhaps you use Google only out of habit? To see if another search engine gives you more appropriate results for the types of searches you do, try out Blind Search, which is a bit like the blind taste test of search engines. After you input a search query, the site will show you the results of three different search engines, side by side, without revealing which results are from which engine until you indicate which results you prefer.
